Wanda June Potter

Wanda June Potter passed away December 15th, 2020 after a lengthy illness.  She was born on July 16th, 1939 to Ruby and Bamos Renfrow who proceed her in death along with her siblings, Kenneth & Bamos Jr. (Bud) and Waunetta Phillips.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, John Potter as well as three children:  JD (Stacey), Brian Scott and Carrie (Mike) Nicholas.  Seven grandchildren: Shawna and Talon Potter, Karlee (Seth) Huber, Tayler (Chad) Garcia, Michael (Elaine), Jeffrey (Layne) and Jack (Kosondra) Nicholas. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and many other relatives.

Wanda was employed as an Elementary Secretary at Beulah Heights and Carlile Elementary and went on to work and retire from the Payroll Department for District 60.  She loved animals and living West of City Park there were plenty for her to enjoy.  She and John were very active in Boots and Calico Square Dance Club and danced all over Colorado & Texas.  You never saw Wanda without knitting needles in her hands.  She made baby blankets for every baby in their church for years as well as to the hospitals.  She also gave items to doctors, nurses or anyone that she thought needed it at the time.

Wanda was a member of King of Kings Lutheran Church where there will be a Memorial Service at a later date due to the current gathering restrictions.

Special thanks to The Center (Frontier) Hospice, especially her CNA, Desiree and all the staff who took care of the whole family.

In lieu of food & flowers please give to the Shriner's Hospital.  Online condolences at DavisMortuary.com
