Tina Mysliwiec

Tina Lynn (Pieper) Mysliwiec, age 60, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on Friday November 11th 2022. Tina was born on May 26th 1962 in Cleveland, OH and was baptized at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. She grew up in Lansing, IL, and graduated from T.F. South in Lansing in 1980. Tina attended Sawyer College in Hammond, IN and received her associates degree in Business Administration. She married her high school sweetheart Bob on August 22nd, 1987, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lansing. Tina and Bob lived in many cities in the Midwest before settling into their long-term home in Pueblo, CO in 2003, where they raised their two daughters and took in any animals that crossed their path. She loved reading to her kids and supporting them in sports and music groups. As a mom (and as a caretaker and friend), Tina had endless patience, gave the best hugs, and could often be found behind the camera capturing all of the important moments for family, friends, and strangers alike. After her daughters had graduated high school, she funneled her passion for caring for family into caretaking for her elderly dad, where a 3 month caretaking trip turned into 3 years. During that time, Tina was able to deepen her relationships with her Dad, siblings, and basketball.

Tina dedicated her life to caring for others. She loved her work at Colorado Blue Sky Enterprises and was passionate about the many people she taught, cared for and mentored in her 10+ years working there. She truly loved her career and valued the many friendships she made along the way. She carried the compassion and empathy of her work beyond the walls of her office and into every day of her life, and would always generously share time and resources with anybody in need that she happened to cross paths with. Her Christian faith and church family at King of Kings Lutheran Church were also an integral part of her life. She would attend church every week, taking notes during sermons and joining study groups; her faith was both an active exploration and a source of solace. At King of Kings she joined the contemporary worship group A Wing and A Prayer, where she found confidence in her singing ability and formed lifelong bonds.

Everyone she met was a friend and those who knew her, loved her. Tina was a rock for many, offering a listening ear for anyone's troubles followed by the best advice. She was a beautiful person with an infectious smile who spread love and happiness wherever she went, and her warm embrace touched many hearts. She found joy in the tiniest things, and always wanted to laugh and make others laugh. She embodied kindness, caring and devotion.

Tina is survived by her husband Bob Mysliwiec (Pueblo, CO) and her two daughters Dara Mysliwiec (Watertown, MA) and Kaci Mysliwiec (Pueblo, CO). She is also survived by her four siblings; brother Troy and Nancy Pieper (Lansing, IL), sister Tara and Mike Jandura (Lynwood, IL), sister Tracie Pieper (Leroy, IN) and sister Tia Pieper and Tesnie Turpin (Cedar Lake, IN). Tina was preceded in death by her parents Darald and Barbara Pieper.
