Stephen L. Williams

Stephen Lynn Williams passed away on October 21, 2023 in Pueblo.   Stephen was born on January 24, 1948 in Kearney, Nebraska to Jack C. and Lois LaVaun Williams.   

Stephen was a veteran, having retired from the United States Navy after 28 years of service.  Following his discharge from the Navy, he enjoyed a 24 year career in education, teaching math and science in the Douglas County School District.  He loved motorcycles and was the First President of the American Legion Riders in Pueblo.  He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and enjoyed hunting and fishing when he wasn’t reading a good book. 

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his father and son Johnny Morgan.  His survivors include his wife of 50 years, Christine Williams; mother, LaVaun Williams; sisters, Sherry “Sharon” (Delbert) Hansen and Linda (Steve) Hardin; nephew, Thom Castdorph; nieces, Karie Hansen and Rhonda Hall and several cousins and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 in the Davis Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mark Thomas of the Free Will Baptist Church officiating.   Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard.
