Sheila J. Horstman

Sheila J. Horstman, 82, of Kennewick, WA passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, December 9, 2020 from complications of congestive heart failure.  Born December 30, 1937 in Trinidad, CO, she was youngest of five children born to the late Asa V. Ward and Mary E. Ward.

Sheila is survived by daughter Linda Horstman (Gordon Patterson) of Spokane Valley, WA; Bonny Bronowski (Mike) of Littleton, CO; Beth Wright (Paul Ratsch) of Kennewick, WA; brother-in-law Milton (Rhonda) Horstman of Denver, CO; sisters-in-law Velva Plant, Provo, SD and Verla (Ron) Noakes of Pueblo, CO; many nieces, nephews and cousins, and many friends and family across the country.  Sheila leaves behind five dearly loved grandchildren:  Chad (Karis) Bronowski of College Station, TX; Kyle (Melissa) Bronowski of Sandstone, WV; Jacob (Stacey) Bronowski of Winter Springs, FL; Brooke Wright of Kennewick, WA and Brady Wright of Kennewick, WA; great-grandchildren Paetyn, Avery, Wyatt and Brody Bronowski.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Merlyn L. Horstman, her parents, sisters, and brother.

Long known for her positive outlook on life and sense humor, Sheila was devoted to making memories with her family and friends.  She cherished the Christmas holiday season and travel.   

Due to gathering restrictions, services are limited to family members only.  Funeral services will be held in the Davis Mortuary, Pueblo, CO, followed by interment in the Roselawn Cemetery, Pueblo, CO.   The service will be live streamed at the Davis Mortuary Facebook page beginning at 2 PM on Wednesday, Dec 16^th. 

The family wishes to thank Fieldstone Grandridge Assisted Living, Kennewick, WA for their excellent care and support in Sheila’s last year of life.  In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates memorial contributions in Sheila’s name to the American Heart Association.
