Rose Simmons

Rose Simmons, 99, has exchanged this earthly life for a better life in Heaven.  She was born April 17, 1919 in McIntosh, MN and died October 7, 2018 in Pueblo.  She leaves behind to cherish her memory her 3 children; Terry Simmons, Doug (Mona) Simmons, Pat (Damian) Rotolo; grandchildren, Shari (Steve) Smith, Gina (Shane) Harmon, Carissa (Jon) Garnett, Josh Simmons, Jonah (Tadiesa) Simmons, and Jennifer (Cody) Drew along with 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 13 older siblings and an 8-year-old son, Gary. After retiring at 65, Rose began an in-home day care where she cared for over 40 children, many of whom still visited her in her home and remembered her birthdays.  She loved hosting family birthday dinners, making candy, and tending her roses and vegetable garden.  Rose was a loving and caring mother and grandmother.  She will be greatly missed. No funeral is planned.  A Memorial Celebration will take place at a later date.
