Rama Lee Wiley

Rama Lee (Graham) Wiley, 88, passed away peacefully, Friday, June 9, 2017, at home on the family farm near Boone, Colorado. Mrs. Wiley was born to Frank & Molly Graham on July 23, 1928, in Pueblo, Colorado. She grew up on the Graham family ranch in the Rye community, graduating from Rye High School in 1946. Rama Lee attended college at Colorado A & M in Fort Collins, where she met her future husband. On August 27, 1949, she married Robert (Bob) B. Wiley, Jr. of Boone, Colo., who had recently completed his college degree. Bob’s first job was in Greeley, so Rama Lee completed her bachelors degree at Colorado Teachers College. The young couple joined the Graham operation in Rye for a couple of years, before returning to the Wiley family’s Larga Vista Ranch near Boone, where she and Bob operated a dairy farm while raising five sons. She was very active in a multitude of community and state civic, educational and agricultural organizations, notably Sweet Adelines, 4-H, and Master Farm Homemakers. She was an active member of the Avondale United Methodist Church.  Rama Lee is survived by five sons, Robert III, Roy (Jane), Ron (Jeanine), Rick, and Doug (Kim); eight grandchildren, and her sister-in-law, Eula Stayer.  A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 17th, at the Avondale United Methodist Church, 223 E. Highway 50 Business, Avondale, Colorado 81025.  Donations may be made to Avondale United Methodist Church.
