Lieutenant Colonel Janet Gail Weaver, United States Air Force, Retired Lieutenant Colonel Janet Gail Weaver, United States Air Force, Retired passed away on January 16, 2022 at her home in Pueblo. Janet was born June 20, 1945 in Burbank, CA to William and Dorothy Propp. Janet attended Fresno State University, graduated with a B.S. in nursing and several advanced Air Force courses including Air Command and Staff and Air War College. Janet served as a highly decorated Flight Nurse in the United States Air Force for 22 years in various locations including assignments in Europe, Hawaii and several in the continental United States. She retired in 1994 after twenty-two years of service. Janet married Thomas Weaver at the Eisenhower Chapel at Lowry Air Force Base in Denver, CO on October 4, 1975. She was active in the Master Gardener program in Pueblo, was an officer in the El Camino neighborhood association and was active in various committees and projects at King of Kings Lutheran Church. Janet is survived by her husband, Thomas; her sisters, Cheryl Craig, of Fresno, CA and Michelle Hogan, of Reading CA. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 24, 2022 in the Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80925 with Reverend William Dohle officiating.
