Lillian Elizabeth Mooring

Lillian Elizabeth Workman Mooring, 70, went to be with her Lord on Jan. 19th, 2022, after a long battle with cancer.

Lillian was born on May 21st, 1951, to Betty Jean McPherson Workman and Robert C. Workman in Montrose, Colorado. After marrying Kenneth Mooring, she moved with him to Pueblo, where they lived until 2002, when they settled in Colorado City. She worked at Hallmark and St. Mary Corwin before becoming the owner of The Clothes Circuit. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and loved spending time with her family, especially during game nights, where her competitive nature made her a fierce opponent. She loved hunting and fishing, and she was a friend and mentor to many. Her laughter was infectious, and everyone who knew her felt embraced by her kindness and generosity.

She is preceded in death by her parents and younger brother, Robert “Butch” Workman.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 53 years, Kenneth Mooring, of Colorado City; daughters Tracy(Kurt) Liebchen of Walsenburg, Joy Mooring of Colorado City, and Kendra Mooring of Pueblo; son-in-law Charles (Tracy Johnson) Seybold; grandchildren Bryan (Erika) Seybold of Colorado City, Brett (Leann) Seybold of Colorado City, Brandon Seybold of Colorado City, Justyce Mooring of Denver, Christopher Aranda of Pueblo, and Anjelica Mooring of Denver; great-grandchildren Connor Seybold, Brogan Seybold, Emma Seybold, Zayden Mikus, Briar Seybold, and Joseph Aranda. She also leaves behind her sister Joy (Steven) Backman, numerous nieces and nephews she adored, other extended family members, and many wonderful friends.    

 A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Feb. 5^th, from 4-7 PM at the Colorado City KOA Event Hall, 9040 Interstate 25 South @ Exit 74.
