Irene Brown Robertus

Irene Brown Robertus, age 91, went to be with our Lord on Feb 6, 2022.  Irene was born on Apr 16, 1930, to Adam and Anna Brown in Scottsbluff, NE.  She was the oldest daughter of 5.  On Mar 9, 1947, she married the love of her life, John Robertus and they moved to Pueblo, CO in 1957.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John; brothers William and Reuben; and sister Frances France. 

She is survived by her son Michael (Debbie) Robertus of Wichita Falls, TX and daughter Linda Gebauer of Pueblo; and sister Mary Jane Romick of Helena, MT; plus numerous nieces.    

Irene was much loved by her 5 grandchildren – Donald White, Pueblo; Amy Robertus, Warr Acres, OK; Corey (Lacey) Robertus, Denver, CO; Keli (Andrew) Sappington, Bethany, OK; and Denise (Alfred) Purser of Colorado Springs, CO. 

Ten great grandchildren; Ryan Purser, Pueblo;  Ashley Roderick, Colorado Springs; Taylor Sappington, Warr Acres, OK; Crysta Carillo, Warr Acres, OK; Cody Blankenship, Warr Acres, OK; Reily Sappington, Bethany OK; Caiden Sappington, Bethany, OK; Stacey Purser, Colorado Springs, CO; and Oliver and Niles Robertus, Denver, CO.

Four great-great grandchildren – Adrian and Aurora Carillo, Oklahoma City, OK; Luka Medina, Colorado Springs, CO; and Maddie Clarkson, Pawnee, OK. 

Visitation for Mrs. Robertus will be held on Thursday, February 10th from 2 pm until 4 pm at the Davis Mortuary.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022 at 1 PM in the Crown of Life Lutheran Church, 145 S. Abarr Drive in Pueblo West.   Irene's cremated remains will be placed next to her husband John's in the Veterans Court of Honor in the Imperial Cemetery in Pueblo at a later date.
