Glendora "LaDell" Pretty

Glendora B. “LaDell” Pretty was called home to our Lord on Thursday, October 26, 2023. She was born in Cedaredge, Colorado on February 21, 1927. She was a loving, unique, and spunky woman who touched the lives of all who knew her. She was truly dedicated to her husband, daughter, grandsons, nieces, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Geneva Davis; her husband, Bob Pretty; her daughter, Betty Bartolotti and son-in-law, David Pohlmeier; and her great-grandson, Daniel Calles.

She is survived by grandson, David Pohlmeier and wife Teresa of Prescott Valley, AZ; grandson, Timothy Pohlmeier and wife Diane of Colorado Springs, CO; nieces, Kathy Jones, Patty Aggson, and Jennifer Barela, all of Pueblo, CO; as well as three great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandchild.

She had a life well lived! Prior to settling down in Pueblo, CO she lived in various towns when she was young and then traveled to many places with her late husband while he served in the Air Force. We really looked forward to and enjoyed hearing the stories of her adventures! She always had a great knack at telling us stories and teaching us life-long lessons! Also, the countless wonderful memories we made with her throughout all the years will forever be in our hearts! Her inspiring positive attitude and how she always found the good in everyone and in any situation will never be forgotten!

Visitation will begin at Davis Mortuary on Wednesday, November 8^th at 10:00 am followed by services in the Davis Memorial Chapel at 1:00 pm. Entombment will follow at the Imperial Memorial Gardens in Pueblo.  

In lieu of flowers or plants, contributions in Glendora’s memory may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 310 W. 11th Street, Pueblo, CO  81003 or Meals on Wheels of Pueblo,  C/O SRDA, 230 N. Union Avenue, Pueblo, CO  81003.
