Billy Lee “Bill” Barrett passed away on January 11, 2024 after a short illness.  Bill was born in Belleville, KS on November 6, 1919 and lived a wonderful 104 years.  Bill married Lillian Benyshek after serving 44 months in the US Army Signal Corps as a cryptogpher, much of that in the South Pacific, during World War II.  Bill moved to Colorado with his family in the mid 1950s, working for Fox Veliet Drug Company in the pharmaceutical industry, then Parkview Hospital and AMF Tuboscope prior to retirement.  Bill volunteered at the Pueblo Wisebroad Aircraft Museum for 27 years in their gift shop up until August 2023.  Bill is survived by his sister Anita Larson of Scandia, KS, sons Michael (Tommy Lo) of Pueblo and Bruce (Roxie) of Pueblo West, plus two Granddaughters; Anita (Neal) Peltack of Missouri, and Trisha (Cass) Garrigus of Lufkin, TX, three great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. 

Cremation will be handled by Davis Mortuary of Pueblo.  Services will be held at a later date to be announced due to weather. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pueblo Wisebroad Aircraft Museum at Pueblo, CO, The Bruce McCandless Veterans Community Living Center of Florence CO or The Air and Space Force Association Mel Harmon Chapter 128.
