Susie Robinson went to be with her Lord on Oct. 4, 2010. She is survived by her loving husband Ray Robinson of Pueblo; a wonderful daughter, Diana Frederic of Colorado Springs; a sister Wilma Shoulders, of Providence, KY; twelve nephews and one niece; two step children, Daniel (Alice) Robinson of Colorado Springs and Mary (Gary) Lewis of Cortez, CO. Susie was preceded in death by her parents, Strauther and Alpha Harvey, two brothers, Morris and Donald Harvey and a sister Jonell Gold. Susie was born in Providence, KY and graduated from Providence High School before she attended and graduated from business college in Evansville, IN. She was very active in her church and Sunday School, serving as a Deaconess for a number of years. She was a Girl Scout leader and an instructor of Junior Achievement in Colorado Springs. Mrs. Robinson was the first President of the Pikes Peak Chapter of the American Business Womens Association and was elected Woman of the Year at the National convention in Cleveland, Ohio in 1963. She was employed as Head Teller at Colorado Springs National Bank and had also worked for First Federal Savings in Colorado Springs. Cremation in the Davis Crematory. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the First Baptist Church, 9th & Grand, in Pueblo. Graveside service will take place on her grandfather’s farm in Providence, KY. Donations in memory of Mrs. Robinson may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association direct, or through the mortuary.
