Theodore "Ted" T. Davis

Theodore “Ted” Davis died Jun 19, 2010 in Colorado Springs. Ted was born Oct 12, 1927 in Victor, CO to John and Glades Davis. He was a 1945 graduate of Central High School, Pueblo Junior College in 1947 and CSU with a Civil Engineering Degree in 1950. He served in the US Army Artillery and Corp of Engineers before obtaining his law degree from the CU Law School in 1957. His career took him to Nebraska, Ohio, Minnesota, Michigan and Colorado and he worked on many large construction projects around the world. During his retirement, he volunteered with the Service Corps of Retired Executives in Omaha and Pueblo and the Pueblo Legal Aid Society. Ted joined the Masonic orders in 1949 and has continued to be active, having served as Worshipful Master of Greenhorn Valley Lodge #196 in Colorado City. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother John E. Davis. Ted is survived by his wife Colleen Davis, children and grandchildren; Tim (Mary Jo) Davis, Trevor and Ethan of Colorado Springs, Jana (Claude) Zimmerman, Brian and Sarah of WI, Kris (Dolores) Davis, Dana, Spencer and Caleb of MN, a sister-in-law Audrey Davis, brother James C. (Shirley) Davis, nephews and niece; Bob (Shirley) Davis, Ron (Candy) Davis, Debi Stephens (Mike Richardson), Bruce (Diane) Davis, Jerry Davis; and their families, brothers-in-law; Gene (Veda) Tate of OR, Joe Tate of OK, Barton (Willa Mae) Tate of OK, Wayne (Linda) Tate of MT and their families. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 26, 2010 in the Davis Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dr. Rick Calhoun officiating. Masonic Memorial Rites will be provided by Greenhorn Valley Lodge #196. Donations in memory of Mr. Davis may be made to the Knights Templar Eye Foundation, either direct or through the mortuary.
