Margaret Joyce Rogers

Margaret Joyce Rogers went home to be with the Lord on the morning of Sept 17th. Joyce was born to the union of John and Lillian Smith on Dec 18, 1933 in Akron, CO. Joyce enjoyed playing bingo, her gambling trips to Cripple Creek and cooking for her family and Mrs Turner. She was preceded in death by her parents, 8 sisters, 5 brothers and also the love of her life, her husband of 48 years, Merlyn L. Rogers, sons Merlyn “Sonnie” Rogers and Rodney Rogers. Those left to cherish her memory are daughters Darlene Joyce (Bill) Marchetti and Donna (Butch) Yarbrough; daughter-in-law, Aquina Rogers, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Carl, Jennifer, Anna, Mitch, Margaret, Robert, Denny, Nathan, Mandy, Dakota, Raymond, Sherian, Nikki, Ali, Skyler, Damion Rodney, Alaze; two sisters Beverly Murphy and Evelyn (Dennis) Blaschko; as well as several nieces, nephews and her special friend Mrs. Turner. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, Sept 22 in the Davis Memorial Chapel.
