Jacob Scott Swartwood

Jacob Scott Swartwood, passed away unexpectedly Aug 11, 2009 near McKenzie Junction. Jake was born Dec 27, 1987 in Pueblo to Scott and Cynthia Swartwood. He was a 2006 graduate of Rye High School and was currently majoring in mathematics at CSU-Pueblo. Jake was a dynamic individual who lived without fear. He enjoyed life to the max and loved his family and friends. He was very ambitious, stood up for what he believed and wasn’t afraid to show it. Jacob was preceded in death by his brother Joshua Scott Swartwood, uncle Mike Putnam and his grandparents Clement Putnam and Shirley Ubinosky. His survivors include his parents Scott and Cindy Swartwood; sisters, Stephanie (Adam) Garcia, Sarah Swartwood and Jennifer Swartwood; brother, Levi Swartwood; nephews Adam Garcia, Jr.; his grandparents Leonard and Joann Swartwood as well as a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held from 1 until 6 pm on Sunday at the Davis Mortuary. The hour between Noon until 1 pm on Monday has been designated for anyone who wishes to leave a written message on Jake’s casket to do so at the Rye High School Gym. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Monday, Aug 17, in the Rye High School Gymnasium with Pastor Bill Frashuer officiating. Interment will follow in the Colorado City Cemetery.
