Pete Chavez

Peter A. Chavez  passed away December 11, 2016 in Pueblo.  Pete was born February 2, 1937 in Trinidad, Colorado, the only child of Pedro and Corrine Chavez.  He was a veteran of the US Navy and was a longtime letter carrier for the US Postal Service before his retirement.  Pete loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking in the hills looking for arrowheads and interesting rocks. Mr. Chavez is survived by his wife Mary; sons, Tim, Thad and Aaron; his grandson Luke, as well as 3 sisters-in-law, 1 brother-in-law and numerous other relatives.  A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, Dec 18, 2016 in the Davis Memorial Chapel with Deacon Phillip Medina officiating.
