Virginia Ruth Sullivan

Virginia Ruth “Ginger” Sullivan passed away May 22, 2009 in Pueblo West, Colorado. Ginger was born July 16, 1928 in Wichita Falls, Texas to James and Ruth Lower. She married Whitney B. Sullivan on July 27, 1946 in Artesia, New Mexico and supported his 30 year Air Force career before settling in Westcliffe in 1972 and later Pueblo West in 1998. She was preceded in death by her parents and then her husband Whitney in 2004. Her survivors include her children Kerry J. (Rozanne) Sullivan, of Pensacola, FL, Carol Ann (Mark) Magee, of Dahlonega, GA and Brian G. Sullivan, of Pueblo West, 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild as well as her sisters-in-law Vivienne Forsberg, of Covington, KY and Lois Sullivan. Cremation has taken place. Ginger and Whitney will be laid to rest following graveside services at 11 am on Thursday, July 2, 2009 in the Fort Lyon National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that contributions in memory of Ginger be made to the Rocky Mountain PBS.
