Edward Carl Steinke passed away August 18, 2008 in Pueblo, Colorado. Ed was born April 12, 1918 in Aurora, Illinois to Carl Frederick and AnnA Steinke. Ed drove for Trailways Bus Company for 29 years, receiving a safety award for almost 2 million miles. He was an active member of Park Hill Christian Church, F.O. Eagles #145 and a lifetime member of B.P.O. Elks Lodge #90. He was a veteran having served in the US Army during WWII. Ed was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Leona Steinke. His survivors include his sons Carl (Carolyn) and Bob (Linda) and daughter Cindy (Bill) Carson, 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. There was no public viewing. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service was held at 10 am on Friday, August 22, 2008 at Park Hill Christian Church. Entombment followed in the Imperial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Park Hill Christian Church, the Elks Lodge #90 or to the Eagles Lodge #145.
