Ethlyn A. Messersmith passed away July 27, 2008 at her home in Pueblo. Ethel was born Aug 26, 1915 in Burlingame, Kansas to Henry Guy and Orma Dean Burton. She was a caring person and will be remembered as having a very loving heart. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas H. Messersmith, as well as her brothers Howard D. Burton, Dean G. Burton, Henry G. Burton and sister Florence Mae Folwell. Her survivors include her daughter Shirley Jean Messersmith Smalley; 5 grandchildren: Edwin Grant Smalley II, Thomas Guy Smalley (Ernestine), Deborah Diane Cintron, Randall Jay Smalley, Deana Dawn (Paul) Dover; 17 Great Grandchildren: Jennifer Smalley, Sara Smalley, Samantha Dobson, Alexandra Dobson, Miriamber Dagnault, Chandra Cintron, Joshua Steele, Christopher Smalley, Valerie Smalley, John Chernault, Daniel Chernault, Aaron Chernault, Paul Dover Jr., Ryan Chaney, Courtney Dover, Amanda Dover, Bethany Dover; 17 Great great Grandchildren: Airianna, Abigail, Braydan, Chevie, Michelle, Mia, Michael, (Darryl due December 2008) Luke, Aydin, Angelia, Pheebee, Cameron, Damion, Nancy, Akayla, Akeelie as well as several other relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 11 am until 2 pm on Thursday at the Davis Mortuary. Funeral services will be held at 6 pm on Thursday in the Southwest Church of Christ, 1635 S. Pueblo Blvd, with Pastor Gary Aragon officiating. Cremation will follow in the Davis Crematory.
