Ted Earl Drummond, passed away June 17, 2008 at his home in Pueblo. Ted was born on Jan. 13, 1929 in Pueblo to Guy O. and Bess Drummond. A 1946 graduate of Central High school, a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, worked for the Pueblo School District for 15 years, owned Ted’s barber shop and during his 58 years, gave many a man a good shave and countless first haircuts. Ted was a member of Pueblo Elks Lodge #90 and F.O. Eagles #145. Ted, a championship cribbage player loved playing cards, pinochle, fishing, dancing and was well known for telling a joke at the drop of a hat. He was a devoted husband, loving father, uncle and friend to many. His generous spirit was well loved by many and will be greatly missed. Ted was preceded in death by his parents, sons Dale C. And Ted G. Drummond, 3 brothers, 1 sister. His survivors include his beloved wife Ruth Irene Drummond with whom he celebrated the 60th wedding anniversary on June 5th, his children , Grant H. (Carol) Drummond, Ted E. (Chriss) Drummond II, Twila A. Drummond, Debra D. (Craig) Thruman, his daughter-in-law Marta Drummond, sister Beth Price, many nieces and nephews whom he loved, 18 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 21,2008 in the Church of Latter Day Saints of Jesus Christ, Pueblo Stake Center, 4720 Surfwood. In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions in memory of Ted be made to the Sangre de Cristo Hospice, 1207 Pueblo Blvd Way, Pueblo, CO. 81005.
