Susan L. Benfield

Susan L. Benfield passed away suddenly and went to be with her Lord on January 3, 2014. She was born on July 11, 1946, the middle child of Arthur and June Reynolds. Susan was a proud graduate of the University of Nebraska and Western State College. She taught school in District #60 for just over 30 years before her retirement. A great teacher and influence on many students in class and extracurricular things as well. She will be missed but always remembered. Susan is survived by her children Zachary, Jacob (Cheramie) and Elizabeth; her four wonderful grandchildren, Gillian, Lincoln, Lucy and Ginny; her sisters, Maryann (Leland) Leber and Linda Kettl; her former husband Art Benfield and a number of wonderful loving nieces. At her request cremation has taken place. A celebration of Susan’s life will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 1:00 pm in the Wesley United Methodist Church, 85 Stanford. Donations in Susan’s name would be appreciated to the Pueblo Community Soup Kitchen, SoCo Spay and Neuter Clinic or to the charity of your choice.
