E. Elvera Hahn

E. Elvera Hahn died Oct 19, 2013 at the age of 96. She was born to the union of Archie and Anna Chambers on May 2, 1917 near Victor, Colorado. She graduated from Victor High School and Blair Business College in Colorado Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Hahn in 2005 after they had celebrated 65 years of happy marriage. Her parents, two brothers, one of which was her twin, and two sisters are also deceased. Surviving her are 3 sons, Larry (Kim), of Spring Branch, TX; Duane (Leta), of Longmont, CO and Greg (Cathy) , of Pueblo; seven grandchildren, Scott, Kristin, Dustin (Jackie) Hahn, Brianne (Ryan) Stromquist, Kavan Hahn, Stacy (Kyle) Biggs and Janelle Hahn as well as one sister, Lois Roberts, of Kansas, and one brother Kenneth (Barbara) of Iowa, and 8 great grandchildren who are her pride and joy. There are also nieces and nephews who survived her. Elvera was employed as a secretary at several of the mines in the Cripple Creek/Victor area as well as 24 years with the Department of Social Services, beginning in Teller County and transferring to Pueblo County in 1963. Elvera retired in 1979. She was a member of King of Kings Lutheran Church, the Order of Eastern Star for 60 years serving as Worthy Matron in Victor, Colorado and most currently a member of Pueblo Chapter #7. She was Grand Chaplain in 1964-65 and held two grand appointments. She and Bob spent several years in Arizona City, Arizona where they have many friends and were involved in the formation and building of the Central Lutheran Church there. They returned to Pueblo in 2004. Her interests were sewing, all kinds of hand work and crafts, painting, etc. The happiness and joy of being with her family took priority over all else. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 28, 2013 at 11:00 am in the King of Kings Lutheran Church, 2561 Vinewood Lane in Pueblo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kings of Kings Lutheran Church or to the Boys and Girls Club of Pueblo. Online condolences at DavisMortuary.com
