Joseph Edmund Romero

JOSEPH EDMUND ROMERO , of Pueblo West, went to be with the Lord on May 11, 2008. He was born February 11, 1946 in Pueblo. Ed began teaching in Cuba, NM before returning to Pueblo where he was a district 60 teacher and administrator for 28 years prior to retiring in 2003. Ed was preceded in death by his father Jess Romero. His survivors include his mother, Rose P. Romero, children Shannon Romero, Daneen (Daniel) Atencio, Ryan Romero, and Rhiannon Romero; his siblings Rebecca (Gerald) Hoffmann, Robert (Theresa) Romero, Dave (Carmen) Romero; his grandchildren Derek and Selena Atencio, Dante and Christian Kooy, Ryan and Phillip Lucker, as well as numerous other relatives and friends. At his request, no viewing. Cremation has taken place. Recitation of the Rosary will be held at 6 pm on Wednesday with Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Thursday. Both services will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3130 Morris Avenue. Interment of the cremated remains will follow at Imperial Cemetery.
