Donald Arthur Gaylord

Donald Arthur Gaylord, 97, was born in Galesburg, IL on Dec 24, 1915. He died in Pueblo, CO on Feb 2, 2013. Donald was an educator and principal in School District 70 from which he retired in 1980. He had built the family home, was a Boy Scout leader and served for a number of years on the library board. He helped start the District 70 Credit Union. Don and his wife Madge were very supportive of the arts in our Pueblo Community. Don was a Master Gardener, as well. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, and his wife of 60 years, Madge. His surviros include his daughter Nonda, of Missoula, MT, and his son Donald (Abigail), of Pueblo; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Family and friends cherish his memory. Sincere thanks both to the staff of Chateau at Sharmar and to Liz Miera and all the group at Frontier Hospice for their dedicated care of Papa Don.
