Buck Leroy Lowery passed away Nov 12, 2012 in Pueblo. Buck was born Oct 8, 1923 in Richards, Colorado to Joe and Hazel Lowery. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served during WWII. Buck taught high school and college automotive in Neosho, MO and in Pueblo. He retired from SCSC as Dean of Adult Vocational Adult Education. He started the Adult Education program at the Colorado State Penitentiary and worked with many government agencies in India, Mexico and here in the United States. He was the administrator for the ACT automotive recertification for 20 years. Buck enjoyed snowmobiling, skiing, talking and was an American picker. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his first wife Betty Lou Ward Lowery whom he married on Aug 7, 1943. Buck loved his family very much. He is survived by his wife of nine years, Georgia Timme Lowery; his three daughters, Peggy (Carl) Stuckey, Linda (Don) Dever and Donna (Tim) Nordell; his grandchildren, Lynn Davis, Jeff McMartin, Doug McMartin, James Nordell, Julie Stewart, Jasen Nordell, Travis Nordell, Natalie Jankelow and their spouses; many great grandchildren; his brother, Richard Lowery and his family as well as a large extended family. Mr. Lowery will lie in state on Friday, from Noon until 6 pm at the mortuary. Funeral services will be held at 10 am on Saturday, Nov 17, 2012 in the King of Kings Lutheran Church, 2561 Vinewood Lane, with Masonic Burial rites by Silver State Lodge #95AF&AM. Graveside services and interment will follow in the Brookside Cemetery in Rye, Colorado with Military Honors provided by the Pueblo Veterans Ritual Team. Online condolences at DavisMortuary.com
